Namida of the Desert
Age of Words, 705 after the Throne
Namida is a young world, a few millenia only. And yet, it's story and habitants have a lot to tell. It's a medieval might and magic setting. With gods, magic and diverse races. But with a catch...
Namida means "tear" in japanese. And that's what it is. A tear in the middle of a desert. Namida is not a round planet like so many others. It is a whole world in the middle of a neverending dimension some call The Desert.
The Desert is an almost surrealistic never-ending dimension who runs on emotion. The six emotions (fear, anger, joy, sadness, surprise and love) rule this place and modifies it. Mortals who dare venture into the Desert risk two fates: bend to the will of raw Emotion and become part of the Desert or try to resist it and become mad.
That's why Namida was created, thousands of years ago, by the gods of today. To work as a haven from the Desert. In Namida, the gods made a barrier to protect its inhabitants from the maddening dunes of the Desert.
