Tamon and the maiden

A long time ago, Tamon the malevolent Fortune of the North Wind, became infatuated with a maiden of Naishou Province. She eventually agreed to accompany him back to the Heavens if he promised never to bother the province again. The Fortune agreed to the deal and ever since, the North Wind hardly troubles the region.
Every year on the first day of Autumn, Tamon and the nameless maiden who secured the province's mild winters are celebrated.
