The Three Winds Inn has been in Onshu's family for some 600 years. Family tradition has the owner of the inn take the name Onshu and the current man has been running the inn for about 20 years now.
Friendly and talkative, he can usually be found at the bar in the common room, gossiping with visiting samurai. Given his wealth and the popularity of his inn with samurai, Onshu is 1 of the most influential men in the city. With his status, he is able to marry his daughters into other influential families, further increasing his influence. His inn's employees are all family and those members of the clan who do not work there are employed throughout the Samurai Quarter. All of this combines to make Onshu one of the best sources for current events and gossip in Toshi No Naishou. He is careful not to trade openly in salacious details, but good friends and trusted samurai can certainly get more information out of him than new arrivals.
