Yukito Kaiu

Yukito traces his family line back to the Board Clan, a minor clan of Crab Clan vassals. Like his ancestors in the Board Clan, Yukito is a skilled miner and engineer. He has worked in mining since his gempukku in 1142.
When the Crab got word of the situation in Naishou Province at Winter Court, they immediately dispatched messages home. In addition to a small contingent from Otosan Uchi, the clan was able to organize another party from Crab lands. This second party, containing Yukito and several other Kaiu in addition to a gunso and squad of troops, met up with Miya Ansho's group about a month's travel from Naishou and completed the journey with them.
