The Owlfeather Garden
The Owlfeather Garden is a tiny walled park area in the centre of Tubridge. It Has an open grassed central area with decorative trees and bushes around the outside. There are some benches in shady spots for people to sit on.
The flattened hollow that the park occupies was caused by a small landslip that occurred soon after the town was settled. Because of its unstable ground, the area was not suitable for building or digging Hobbit holes, and so was left bare. After some time one of the residents of the town at the time, Albert Owlfeather started to care for the plants on the patch of barren ground. After a while, other members of the community started to enjoy the park as a pleasant place to relax. Many years later when Albert died, the Town Council decided to formalize the creation of the park and named it in Alberts honour.
There is a small plaque commemorating Albert and his park on the wall near the entrance.
