E'en is a massive indoor cityscape. It's sterile and efficient, and it provides its inhabitants with everything they need; food, entertainment, beauty curation and some pretty great pills to take the edge off when the monsters start scratching at your brain.   It only works if it's left to its devices. That's the contract. Don't ask where it all comes from, and it comes. But it's not like you don't have a say on anything. There are votes. The President is elected. Just plug into the Route and have your say on the Three's question of the day.   The Route? It's like the nervous system of E'en. It connects everything together. And the Three are the brain. They keep everything running smoothly. The food flowing, the screens glowing and the defense systems online.   The defense systems are for your protection of course. Outside the walls of E'en stretches a wasteland of death and decay and monsters. Nobody has seen the monsters. But we all know they're out there, scratching on the walls. Hungry and insatiable. The product of a world untamed.   And that's why we choose E'en. Better to be provided for than in the know. Better the sterile city than the dead waste.
