Mythology & Lore

Atarr was the first of the Eight. The eldest of the Gods, and their leader. He created Myrth and all the creatures on it with the blood of his first heart. And with the blood of his second heart he created the humans. They were his perfect creation, his best accomplishment. But there were so many of them, too many for him to take care of on his own. So he breathed life into his fellow gods, becoming them to come and help him in guiding his people. But they were jealous of his human pets and wished for followers of their own. They stole some of his humans and changed them. Made them lesser, no longer human they took to following their new masters. And thus the other races were formed.

Divine Origins

The Order of Atarr was the first religion to form after the Eight fell. It once spanned the entire continent, but, as time and other religions formed, it was pushed back into the borders of Leuth.

Cosmological Views

Atarr is the most powerful of the Gods and he created, not only Myrth, but all of the gods with the will of his love alone. The Humans are his favored people, and all other races are considered lesser, tainted.

The Order of Atar has always been led by two a Daelord, his Twin Hearts.. Each Daelord leads the church for fifty years before stepping down and allowing his brother to take his place. At this time the new Daelord will select a new Priesthood to guide the church with him.
