Desert Imperials

Desert Imperials are citizens of the Triamic Empire who are descended from the citizens of the former Mukala Dominion. They primarily populate the Crimson Sands, Sol'cha, and the southern parts of Heartland.

They are physically characterized by tan skin and thick, dark hair. In general, they follow a traditional spirit-worshiping religion instead of (and in some regions, in addition to) the Kaelic Temple.

House Mekulet is generally associated with Desert Imperials, even though about half of the House is more closely related to Imperials .

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Desert Imperials generally speak regional dialects first and foremost, with Sands Trade as a second language to communicate with other areas of the Crimson Sands or Sol'cha. Any groups that travel outside the borders of those two nations (namely, members of House Mekulet) also learn Imperial Common, so as to communicate with the rest of the Triamic Empire, and it is not uncommon for citizens of to also pick up Et'en as either a heritage language or trade tongue.
