Ayala Tat

This legendary isle disappeared thousands of years ago, and no one has been able to find it since. Legend says it was the birthplace of the gods of the Kaelic Temple, and once had cities of gold, where music played on every corner.

The language of Ayala Tat was Ancient Kaelic, which today is known only by scholars of historical languages.

Controversy: Did Ayala Tat Actually Exist?

If anyone dared to ask in their presence, Kaelic officials would answer an unequivocal "yes."

However, contemporary scholars at the University of Obsidian aren't so certain. Tales of Ayala Tat were brought to Estana by the Sheyla who first landed on the continent, and were never heard of previously. Almost certainly, it's doubtful that the Blessed Isle was as prosperous and technologically advanced as claimed, given most of the world was in the bronze age at best during its supposed height of existence.

There have been numerous expeditions to find Ayala Tat throughout the centuries. None of them were successful, and many met with disaster. One of the most infamous failed expeditions was Balthazier, author of The Treatises Arcana, who was lost at sea while searching for it in 332 BEC.
