The Dreamweavers

Rulers of Dreams

Dreamweavers, children of the Fateweavers, and beings that control and manipulate the Realm of Dreams. Manifestations of psionic energy within the dreamscape, the Dreamweavers are dedicated to maintaining the realms, and creating the many dreams that the visiting mortals experience within their sleep. When one wanders too far into the world of teh sleeping, one must be prepared to cross paths with a dreamweaver in their domains.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dreamweavers often appear in the form of huge or colossal humanoids, though their appearances are not restricted by any one size or appearance, as they are capable of altering their appearance on a whim, similar to how the realm of dreams around them changes in accordance to the thoughts of those that enter it.

Genetics and Reproduction

Dreamweavers were created by the Fateweavers as lesser celestial powers and their children. Dreamweavers can only be created by Fateweavers, and Dreamweavers can only create creatures of dream.

Growth Rate & Stages

The Dreamweavers are created as fully developed creatures, with an adult mind and body (if applicable). Their personalities and knowledge are the only things undeveloped when they are created. They can change their appearance at will, as they are manifestations of psionic projection upon the Realm of Dreams

Ecology and Habitats

Dreamweavers can only be found within the Realm of Dreams. At no point, within known history has a Dreamweaver ever set forth outside the realms, and it is believed that due to their bodies nature of being a manifestation of their conscience through manipulations of the reality of dreams, that they can't ever truly leave their realm, less someone or something gives them a body.

Dietary Needs and Habits

It is noted that some Dreamweavers, namely the Dreameater, are capable of consuming dreams within the Realm of Dreams, and possibly by extension psionic energy. Beyond this, however, it is believed that most Dreamweavers have no need of sustenance, or are outright incapable of anything close to dietary consumption. Further research must be conducted into this.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Many powerful Dreamweavers will create territories and domains, initiating wars within the realm over such borders, and enforcing dominance of other residents of the realms. This being said, some Dreamweavers are left alone to wander where they like, such as the Aformentioend Dreameater, who is treated more as a force of nature in the realm, one that even the Queen of Nightmares wishes not to oppose or offend.

Dreamweavers are highly intelligent beings, seeing as their primarily the manifestation of psionic energies within the Realm of Dreams. Because of this, dream eaters often hold intelligence that bypasses that of the smartest academics within the mortal realms and can be comparable to god-like intellects.

It is uncertain as to what perception and sensory capabilities the Dreamweavers naturally have, as the only consistent thing about them is their conscience. As the apex beings of the Realm of Dreams, their gifted with great Psionic abilities, capable of reading the minds of those around them, and manipulating the realm down to the finest details.

The one who wanders and is distant in thought is known as the Daydreamer, The one who consumes all within the realm is known as the Dreameater, and she who rules over the nightmares of mortals is known as the Queen of Nightmares. Such is teh naming traditions of the Dreamweavers.

Dreamweavers often communicate through the language of the gods (celestial), but are often capable of comunicating in any language, and to any beings, in part due to their psionic nature. This better helps them perform their duty as creators of dreams.

Dreamweavers are comparable to other celestials in the fact that they are powerful extraterrestrial beings that can, and will, create pacts with lesser beings to forward their agendas.
