Official
The Aids and Representatives of Governors Officials are local governmental aids who act in the stead of governors within smaller settlements within a geoverns domain.
Requirements
Officials are hereditary, with the eldest descendant inheriting the rank, though an Official can petition their respective governor to either end the family position or change which child receives the title. Beyond that, however, a Governor can choose whomever they desire to be a governor, and can also revoke the position at any time.
Appointment
When a governor appoints an official, they must complete a certificate of authority to act as proof of position for the Official. Beyond this, no ceremony is held, as the position is more governmental than aristocracy.
Duties
Acting as the leader of a settlement and performing required duties in the stead of the local governor. They must also report back to the governor regularly to maintain a proper understanding of the happenings of the local regions. Such tasks include the collection of taxes, the maintenance and upkeep of public spaces and government infrastructure, taking a position as the leading authoritative figure in criminal disputes, and the performance of ceremony as necessitated.
Benefits
Officials receive a 100% tax return and are, to a degree, expemt from taxes. This is evidence that the political positions of the Fendu Bay are strife with nepotism.
