Database of Evidence

This is the best-documented contact case on record. If it's a hoax, it's a damn good one.
— William Randall
The "Database of Evidence" is the collection of all items that members of Ohio Saucer Watch could collect pertaining to the disappearance of Kayla Kavanaugh. This includes copies of security footage showing Saeh'han collated over a few months (excepting the earliest footage, which was written over by a lot of businesses except where it was saved by eagle-eyed security camera operators who sensed something potentially world-changing and saved copies), as well as videotaped and transcribed interviews with witnesses, police reports, and photographs of Krin that Saeh'han reportedly left as tips (the physical items are kept in a safe in Keith Billenheimer's basement, where OSW is headquartered).   The collection is maintained on the official OSW website, operated and updated by the group's members. It has been referenced by Nat Atrella in his book Debunked, as he turned to it during his effort to reconstruct the case as it happened. Additionally, William Randall has written at least one White Paper on the subject, although this has not been made public outside the UFO community.

Purpose

The purpose of the database is to collect, store, and maintain data pertaining to the sightings of an alien in the months leading up to the disappearance of Kayla Kavanaugh. The founders of Ohio Saucer Watch believe the two events to be connected, although they are unsure how. The database also provides a vast library of data pertaining to alien contact in general, although it is largely ignored by most of UFOlogy because they have written the group maintaining it off as skeptical or a "disinfo" (disinformation) group on the payroll of the government.

Document Structure

Clauses

The entire database, as it is maintained on a website, is organized by tabs, which are organized by category of item (transcripts, PDF documents, galleries of photos and videos). New items are added to this website according to the format of the file, and are featured on the front page of the website under a column labeled "NEW!" to ensure people remain updated on the topic.

References

The site relies heavily on primary sources, such as interviews and police reports contemporary with Kayla Kavanaugh's disappearance (or as contemporary as possible). Much of this was collected within the first year of OSW's existence and uploaded onto the website in a batch. The policy of the group is to allow the database to speak for itself.

Historical Details

History

Ohio Saucer Watch was founded in response to the disappearance of Kayla Kavanaugh, the sister of founding member Erin Kavanaugh. The database was thus developed as a place to keep the data the members of the group collected during their investigation into the case. Most of their data had been gathered during the group's first year of existence, but every so often people seep out of the woodwork with new accounts of encounters with aliens, spacecraft, and so forth. OSW discards most of these, and so they do not make it into the database, but gradually they have become aware of a series of mysterious disappearances related to Kayla Kavanaugh's that do not appear to be related other than that some witnesses claim to have seen an alien in the period surrounding the disappearance. These have been given their own tab on the website: "Similar Cases".   Studies of similar cases and corroborating evidence where it could be found allowed OSW members to make the connection between the Kavanaugh case and the disappearance of one PFC Frederick Weiss, who served with Cornelius Kavanaugh and was taken by an extraterrestrial on the battlefield.

Public Reaction

OSW (and by extension its website) have flown under the radar for the vast majority of the public, but within UFOlogy, the reactions have been incredibly mixed. Most have written the group off entirely and therefore pay no heed to its website regardless of the quality of evidence, but some who consider themselves "moderate" or "skeptical believers" laud the website in their writings and lectures as "the best collection of evidence for ET contact out there". The website has even attracted the attention of some skeptics, such as William Randall and Nat Atrella, who agree with the moderates as to the quality of evidence collected by OSW.

This is fun! :) It's cool that there's a website with all their evidence. I can picture exactly the kind of website you mean.

You're going to LOVE book two :D   I kind of look forward to writing that reunion, actually! (Writing the reunion between Cort and Kayla/Ta'zhen was equally fun :D )
