Falleh Bonestriker Character in Moudon | World Anvil

Falleh Bonestriker

Falleh Bonestriker (a.k.a. Spinesplitter)

Falleh did not start a great leader or even a valued member of Scriryi, but in her lifetime she became a living legend of the city.   Originally the daughter of a nomadic warlord in the Northern Teeth mountains, Falleh had been captured when the Hrorun Mining Union defeated her father's raiding party in Scriryi. Though the thought was first to ransom the goliath teen to force her father to stop sending raiding parties, the union was surprised to find the warlord had no attachments for a daughter weak enough to get caught alive. Left with the decision to either kill her or indenture her to pay for the losses her father generated on his raids, the union pragmatically decided that she would be more useful as a low-level miner.   The first few years of Falleh's servitude were bleak, she hated being tied down to Scriryi and she hated having to mined rocks day after day. This changed, however, when the union was faced with a problem. Falleh's father had not slowed in his raiding, and while the other nomads of the steppes had learned to work with Scriryi (which was building in notariety) her father had redoubled his efforts. The last straw for the union came shortly after a force of seven thousand Jurai troops came across sea and plains to gain control of the Scriryi assets. The army decimated quite a few of the nomadic bands of the Hrorun Steppes and then proceeded to the city before capturing four of the mines that had been started outside of the chasm area and the surrounding settlement. Their forces were swift and brutal in their attempts to snuff out resistance in those mines and the result was horrific. For twelve weeks, the Jurai troops held the Scriryi outskirts and menaced the rest of the city. They worked the miners in those auxillary mines to the bone, but while they did Falleh proposed a plan to one of the union overseers. Falleh knew the mines like the back of her hand because she had been forced to work in every one of them. Her plan to infiltrate with a small force of miners and undermind the troops long enough for more miners to break the troops above ground was approved.   In the dead of night, Falleh's small crew stole into the auxillary mines and with the help of the miners there and the hazards of the environment they killed 84 of the troops in the mines before the reinforcements even arrived up top. Falleh, using a pick that she would later call the Spinesplitter, killed over 100 Jurai before the battle was done and save six miners that had nearly been overwhelmed. It was her heroism and guerilla style tactics learned from her raiding days that won her the respect of the Hrorun Mining Union and ended her debt.   She could have settled with that but Falleh was determined to cement her place in Scriryi. Following the retreat of the Jurai, Falleh defeated her father in one on one fatal combat to take control of her nomadic band and then brought them into the strength of the Hrorun Steppes Bands and Scriryi. At that time she became a consultant for the security branch of the mines and proposed the creation of a militia. There would be other attempts to take their mines, of that Falleh had no doubts. Finally, by the time the Battle of Chamrest occurred, Falleh had become the security/militia leader of the Hrorun Mining Union and won the battle for the Union.

Hi there! You may not know me, but I am the sponsor of the Great Leader of Their People Summer Camp Prompt this year! Since you wrote this article, I would like to know, would you mind me reading it aloud on my Twitch channel this week? I have a lot to get through so it helps to do it live while people watch. I've scheduled to go live at 8am and 8pm Eastern Time every weekday. If you join and comment, I can go over your article right then and there! If you'd like to coordinate a specific date, let me know. If you aren't able to make it (or don't want to be present live), you can also always watch streams after the fact on my YouTube channel   BUT, if the answer is NO because you'd rather I not, it's okay! Not agreeing to be streamed definitely does not put you at any disadvantage for winning in my eyes. Please respond swiftly by replying here (make sure to click REPLY under my comment or I won't be notified), message me on my World Anvil profile page, Discord, or anywhere else you find me online.   Thanks again! Whatever you choose, God bless and much success! <3

I would be okay with that, though I cannot guarantee proper grammar and flow. I am honoured that you like my article enough to ask this of me. I know that I am available today and tomorrow but you could do it for any of your streams :D.   Have a blessed day as well <3

Don't worry about grammar and flow. A lot of articles (including my own) were very rushed and such errors are to be expected. :) I appreciate the response and the permission! If and when you appear in chat, shout yourself out so that I can know to jump over to your article. <3 Have a blessed one!
