Gathering any variety of information on the freelance mercenary calling herself “Sin” would prove a fierce errand for she is a figure prone to maintaining a mysterious aura giving little details regarding her personal life. Birth name Mae Ji-Yun was born in the metro political capital of what is now known as the Unified Korean People’s Republic in the late 2010’s and is of mixed heritage. Her father was thought to be a US marine whilst her mother was a native with mixed heritage herself. Ji-Yun lived in east Asia for much of her childhood until growing political tensions urged her mother to find a more sustainable living environment. The United Kingdom had recently removed itself from many international affairs and thus seemed a fair fit. Here the pair would remain until Sin was to come of age and pursue her own affairs. She was thought to be an adequate student with much potential though shunned academics for the thrills of activities such as illegal street racing and recreational drug consumption. Officially, Ji-Yun worked a semi-successful mechanical business with fellow associates and found work particularly as a tuner though would always manage side projects often of a more legally-questionable ilk. Throughout the years Sin would deal in illegally acquired automotive parts, participate in the distribution of non-government sanctioned electric modifications for all manner of appliances, and had a stake in Britain’s thriving drug world. After a falling out with much of her older accomplices Ji-Yun would migrate internationally and eventually take up underground cage fighting beneath Manhattan and see a large degree of success. The moguls of manhattan’s underworld were adamant to make use of Sin’s physical talents and quickly put her in a prestigious body-guard type position. Though she detested the idea of directly working for anyone other than herself and hastily adopted a more freelance form of work. The moniker “Sin” became well-known throughout many criminal syndicates throughout the united states and beyond. Many sought the talents of such a marauder whose proficiency in hacking, tinkering, and physical activity alike was infamous among such circles.
