Caadron Fibre

"Listen, it doesn't matter what those Gargen say. They'll try spinning it as Guldar technological inferiority, or just plain incompetence, but that's all skrokslime. The stuff they make those sheets out of'll stop anything short of a rifle round at twenty paces. Far as I'm concerned, they're weaving magic into it." - Gorovik Basilov, South Hardane Ranger

Properties

Material Characteristics

Caadron is a fibre usually woven into fabric that appears and behaves almost exactly the same as starched cotton to the untrained eye - its primary distinguishing feature is that the fabric has a naturally pitch black colouration.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Unwoven caadron fibres are incredibly tough with remarkable tensile strength - when braided into rope, they have roughly the same toughness as an equivalent thickness of steel chains with a fraction of the weight. As a fabric, caadron is strong enough to effectively stop most low-calibre firearms, knives, swords and arrows.

Origin & Source

Caadron is harvested from the blackleaf bush, and requires an extended and difficult process of drying and treatment before it can be used.
