Upon the supercontinent of Vesterfall, exists a harsh and hostile world to all who have abandoned raw power in favor of the gift of sentience. With such a wilderness surrounding them, the societies of intelligent creatures made a pact thousands of years ago to never wage war against one another. Disputes between royals, nobles, and nations would be resolved in a different field of combat: The arena.   With the integral importance on arena events in the cultures of all nations, a massive tournament called the Bellirex, originally used to determine the successors to a country's throne, has become the ground upon which champions from all over attempt to make names and enact change within their governments. As such, the Bellirex has become a birthing ground of new kingdoms, not a way to inherit old ones.   Participants must be chosen by Dawnbreakers, human-nonhuman half-breed with an ancient connection to the forces that dictate the world, and be able to summon legendary heroes from the Age of Wildness to aid them and teach them the ways of men before walls protected them. They must triumph through eight trials and emerge as the lone victor to claim their right to a crown. On Moravia, either you're a legend, or you're nobody.
