Entity 1: The Windigo
Located in the Scour Fields, a large animal-like humanoid creature, a failed experiment of the elven, and tossed onto the wastes to survive on their own. They are large and lankly, with furred skin and long serrated teeth. They stand erect, taller than any human, and dangerously fast. Best chance to combat them is to remain alert and in groups, and to hit them before they attack. Add-on: Currently all windigo are deceased.
Entity 2: The Leshy
A being of disturbing purpose and figure, the Leshy has haunted the dreams of children and the nights of guards and hunters for many years. All accounts show that the Leshy first appeared several years ago, most probably an elven experiment, as most things are. Its appearance has been described as a tall shadowy humanoid, with long antlers protruding from its shadowy head. Its original elven purpose is unknown, but it appears capable of rapid movement and swift murder of any who enter into its territory, located in the Second Ring of the Scour Fields.
The creature is extremely aggressive, and has gained a reputation among storytellers in keeping children in line. While during several instances the Leshy has been severely wounded, with even limbs being removed. However, any biological portion of the entity removed immediately turns into ash. The Leshy has survived for decades, and appears unchanged. Perhaps immortal? It appears realitlvely easy to combat, as a single swipe of a weapon can cut through its skin. Perhaps a stab in the heart could kill it? Add-on: It is theorized the Leshy was "stuck" in a period of time, unable to age. Currently deceased.
Entity 3: The Giant Serpents
These massive creatures are native to the top of the Scour Fields, and have been noted to reside there for as long as anyone can remember. The great serpents of the Scour Fields were most likely a selective type of serpent experiment that worked to well, as notable elven nobles have long snakes as pets and sometimes even guards.
The typical life of the Sestnepre gitnai begins with their birth from large eggs, squirming out of their tiny nests and quickly spreading throughout the Scour Fields. Most young are killed or eaten, but a few make it to adulthood, growing over twenty feet in length, and continuing to grow of over their lifetime. The largest ones are reported to be able to eat a horse with one swallow, and the serpents are known to wrap around their victims, and crush their bones. Their scale patterns are also known to be green or dark brown, allowing for easier camouflage among the great trees and roots.
The best way to combat and defend against these predators is the use of metal arms avoiding its quick initial attack, as well as being alert. Look for shed scales to see if one has recently been in the area, and if in direct combat, attack its eyes or underbelly, as the scales are weaker their. Typically, if the serpent has just eaten, they will be vulnerable, unable to move, and very easy to spot and kill. If any eggs are found, BURN THEM IMMEDIATELY! The best way to prevent more of the beasts to spread is to kill their young.
Entity 4:The Chull
The creature known as the chull is often referred to as the "Pond-Beast" by those who have encountered it, as it resides in one of the few open water ponds in the Scour Fields, an amphibious creature that hides underwater, waiting for its time to strike. It drags thirsty victims down, drowning them beneath the water before beginning its feast.
The chull appears to be humanoid in shape, but have hard shell-like exoskeletons on its outside, and webbed "fingers." Its mouth is formed from several tentacles, which open from a beak-like structure that sucks water and is used to grasp onto things. The chull appears to be able to breath underwater, but appears to prefer shallower portions of the its pond.
The chull's hard shell makes it impervious to most attacks, and it flees under the water when attacked. The best defense is, as always, to stay alert, and away of any pools one gets close to. Possibly a magical attack could weaken it?
Add-on: Although only one case of a single chull was reported, the creature appears to possess some form of reproduction, as several chull have been seen before, and still are to this day. However, intense light appears to be terrible to chull eyes, and they are easily scared away with a lithgi spell.
Entity 5: Redworms
A horrifying creature, or rather, mass of creatures, redworms are small, grubby, and long worms, noted for their flashing and unnatural red color. Alone, a redworm might pose a miniscule announce, but in large colonies, they spread quickly and unnaturally. The danger of redworms is that they not only reside in the Scour Fields, like so many other mutant creatures, but their infestation can spread, with even a single redworm breeding an army capable of destroying whole regions.
The main danger of redworms are their ability to latch onto victims, quickly crawling their way upwards. The redworms have barbed ends, sticking to surfaces, and, under close inspection, reveal rows or pointed serrated teeth for a mouth. Redworms live in large numbers, and attach themselves to any person who happens to amble by. The redworms will scurry as fast as they can, climbing to the head of the victims, or entering their body through the nose, ears, mouth, and sometimes burrowing straight in. Once the head is reached, the redworms latch on the victims brain, spreading an infection and warping the victims mind.
A victim tormented by the redworms sudden attach as they drill into their brain, pumping dangerous chemicals and liquids into the brain. These cause the victims body to become mutated rapidly, and controlled by the redworm hosts, who cause the victim to act wild and savage, even to friends. The redworms alter the hosts body to be the perfect housing space for redworm eggs and young, which feed and grow on the now-mindless being, and eventually, the victim will burst, releasing spores of eggs and redworms that crawled under their skin flesh. The redworms also use these victims to spread, using their hosts to travel and infect more people with the redworms, creating an endless cycle that forms swarms of large mindless redworms hosts, that, if large enough, pose a serious threat to the nations of the Room.
Fortunately, there are a few ways to counteract redworms. First, experiments have proven that only sentient, and particularly human or elven, beings are attacked by redworms, possible due to the elven original testing on human subjects. Redworms are best handled with fire, and a victim might be able to pull any redworms off themselves before being consumed. Redworms also are known to loathe salt, and any redworm hosts must be burned or completely destroyed in order to prevent redworms from escaping and continuing the cycle.
Entity 6: The Silenced One
A strange aberration, this single entity is most certainly the product of some terrible experiment. It was first found by adventurers. According to eyewitness accounts, the creature merely appeared out of no-where, staring down at them, but making absolutely no noise. The creature appears as a human, but formed of some strange plant-like substance, and has a face reminiscent of a skull.
The entity was reported to then proceed to stalk the party, and eventually attack them, using its extreme strength to severely weaken several members, before being cut down at the legs and stomach. However, the entity appeared unfazed, and began reconstituting itself, its vines reconnecting and growing together. However, a fire spell appeared to be extremely effective against it, and an arrow shot into its heart ended the creature for good.
An analysis of the corpse has revealed the entities body to be hollow, composed of overlapping structures similar to plant-life. These biological remains still remain active, and can be grown and cultivated, possibly useful for rope or buildings? At a center of the corpse are magical remains, that indicate that some collective "heart" of magical energy is what powered or sustained the entity.
Entity 7: Draconians
A strange group of creatures, there name is inspired from words found with the ancient songs and texts. The name of draconians is really a term to describe a number of various creatures, each with similar traits and characteristics. Draconians are often humanoid creatures, but with thick scaled skins, often red in color, and have long claws and talons. They usually have reptilian tails, long wings akin to leather, but made of strange single fabrics and long claws. Most fearsome of all is their strange head and face, thick and wide, with jagged fangs and small eyes. Their face is like the small nipper reptiles, but grimer and with long spikes on the back of their skulls.
Draconians are found mostly in the Scour Fields, and are the result of elven sorcery. Many attempts to create draconians half work or cause a mishap, forming even more monstrous creatures. However, the few successful ones are often employed by the elven as workers, soldiers, or fulfill other roles.
Add-on: In recent years the number of draconian and their prevalence in Elvenia has decreased greatly. Why this is is unknown, but it seems related to the rise in the creation of aeldari servants.
Entity 8: Panthers
The panther is a gentle beast; yet able quick to defend itself and its cubs. It is a beautiful, multicolored animal; its coat is spotted with white or black disks. After the panther has feasted, it goes into any small and dark dwelling and sleeps for three days. When it wakes up it gives a loud roar, and while it is roaring a sweet odor comes out of its mouth. This sweet smell, for reasons unknown, cause great fear and anxiety in all animal and creatures, who leave the panther alone. This strange trait is part of the reason it has been able to survive for so long in hostile regions. The female panther can only give birth once, because the young in her womb tear at her with their claws, wounding her so that she can no longer conceive. It is found within the courts of Mig and Elvenia, though is rare and seems to originate from the Scour Fields.
Entity 9: Jaculuses
First found flying all across the Room, the jaculus is, in the most simple terms, a serpent that can fly. It hides in a tree until an animal passes underneath, and then it throws itself down on the animal and kills it. Typically it cannot grow longer than any human, but this takes a great lifetime, and most jaculuses are small serpentine creatures with long silvery fin-like wings. These wings allow them to glide with ease in small broods that seek out small birds to prey upon.
While not often threatening, jaculuses can surprise the unknowing, by descending from the sky, hiding in trees, or slithering across the ground. However, they are easily killed (unless they have grown to a very long length), and some have even been trained.
