Montressor

Montressor is a Plane in the MtG Multiverse for my campaign with a few friends. Not everything will be perfectly MtG story accurate, as this is a casual campaign and my friends aren't particularly interested in MtG or it's story.   Home to 4 humanoid species, Human, Elves, Lamia (Naga), and Kor. The plane is mostly aquatic, with travel between islands being done by aeroship or aquajet. Magic is rare for the commoner, but is prevalent and is still well known around the world. Most forms of common magic have been replaced by Archanoarmor, Automotons and Alchemical Pod Launchers. Montressor is in the middle of an Industrial Renaissance, and invention and creativity is running rampant throughout the plane. Most forms of combat have moved away from sword and shield to spring-loaded, bolt-action Pod Launchers, coming in a variety of sizes, with the more high-end Launchers being air powered and semi-automatic.   Archanoarmor is the "replacement" to most common magics, with the most common model of Archanoarmor being a Gauntlet, with the most basic model being a glove with many different purchaseable attachments and, by defualt, a slot to insert Alchemical Pods for use. Alchemical Pods are a universal design, although the contents can vary greatly by manufacturer. Ranging from Torch to Thunder to Shine, Alchemical Pods are the bread-and-butter for inventors and adventurers alike.   Automotons were the major breakthrough of the Industrial Renaissance, allowing the manufacturing to be done completely automatically, leaving more people to learn, invent, and adventure. Automotons are made by many different coalitions, and all serve a different purpose. Ranging from security, to manufacturing, agriculture, and personal assistance, automotons are the backbone of Montressor's labor.   The invention of Launchers came soon after Guantlets and Pods, and has been a very controversial topic, as it changed war immediately and forever. Allowing for long range, extremely accurate (compared to bow and arrow), and devastating attacks caused a public outcry against the inventor, Arin Mai. Organizations around the world bought her Launchers, and improved on her initial designs, initiating a global arms race. Mai herself has retired to a location not known to the public at this time, and it is unknown what she is occupied with.
