Space Mongolia
One day, Genghis Khan woke up and was inspired about where he was to head to next. He ran up to his generals and confidants and pointed at the sun, and told them, "this is what I intend to invade next"
The generals and confidants were confused--as they had already taken over much of the East. The Mongolian Language at the time did not have much for ways to properly explain if somebody wanted to conquer the Sun itself. Eventually, Genghis got what his intentions were through to his various Generals and Confidants.
They were not that inclined to want to go against his wishes--and hoped he would forget his desires to invade the sun, conquer it, and add it to his own empire. Several days went by of them telling Genghis, "oh yeah... we are totally looking into it--totally" and they realised he was not going to be inclined to forget this new endeavour.
Thus they started their space program to try to launch an invasion campaign into the outer reaches of space. With many of their "Space Yurts" becoming sustainable colonies, not for being organised like most attempts humans have made to go into space... but for the exact reason they were so disorganised it became its own weird private eco-system that suited the head of each Space Yurt.
With communication and interaction between Space Yurts mixed with an odd sense of how to have chaos best suit them Space Mongolia became the second human civilisation to end up in space.
After a war was started with the Reptilians factions that were in Space, the Mongolians stopped focusing on Earth so much. Rumours were spread of Genghis' death... and a body was presented that nobody dared question the validity of it. This lead to many nations on Earth assuming the Mongolian Empire was over... when it was mostly just bad communications back to Earth--and Space Mongolia accidentally severing its ties with its Earth based counterparts.
The severing of ties with the Earth based counterparts had been the end of many human space faring civilisations--having more failed attempts than successful ones by a great amount... however, the mindset of Space Mongolia had the severing make it more powerful... somehow.
Space Mongolia eventually ended up enslaving a fair amount of the Space Based Reptilians--and most Yurts have a slave work force of Reptilians. Many of which have saddles on them, not out of any utility but out of a weird twisted sense of humour.
Structure
Very loosely handled. Each Space Yurt is controlled by the local leader of it--with all that happens inside usually a hedonistic mass of space archery, space horse riding, space contortionism and of course, space acrobatics. When they get together they generally get along due to having very similar attitudes about enjoyment and pursuit of feeling decent. If they are not enjoying the fair, they can generally leave.
Public Agenda
Their general politics, ambitions and ideals are generally incomprehensible to those of the world. This is generally what makes them most effective.
Assets
It should be noted that they do not understand material property in the same way people here do. Generally able to produce what they need and want at great amounts.
- A large space empire fleet of space yurts
- A massive population of enslaved space Reptilians... that they ride "Like Yoshis"--nobody knows how they got that phrase. Their word for their enslaved space Reptilians are "space horses"
- Replication devices that can take in radioactive space dust and make anything they want.
History
Obama looked at the paper work again. He doubled checked. His brow sweating. He had promised that if he were to get into office he would tell the truth to the American people. It was his first national address. Yet--he had the big reason that a fair amount of the space program had been delayed. He could not tell the millions Americans at home waiting for his address. Space Mongals? They'd laugh at him. Yet--here he had papers from top ranking military officials. This was why the space program had been cut back like it had. This is why we did not have a moon base being set up. We might be able to go to Mars--the Space Mongals had no interest in that planet. He had prepared to tell the American people the truth of extra terrestial activity. Now... he knew the truth... and he could not bring himself to tell the people. The truth was far too incomprehensible for anybody to believe.Sometime ago, Genghis Khan woke up one morning and the Great Genghis Khan made a decree: pointing to the rising sun. Genghis Khan made the decree that is what they would conquer next. His generals were confused and told him they had already conquered most of the orienant. It took some time to figure out he was talking about the literal sun. He wanted to conquer the sun itself. So, in his city of intelligent people that he had build him neat toys, the Genghis Khan Space Program began. With Genghis Khan's civilisation being one of the many human civilisations to have made it into space. However, unlike various previous space faring human cultures, this one did not rely on their Earth Bound homes to keep running due to the nomadic nature of the Hoards of Genghis Khan. There many Space Yurts took to the stars--already dotted with various failed human civilisations attempts to get into space. Space Mongolia tried to tell people about the space program they set up--but nobody really wanted to hear about it, and got upset with them trying to talk. So eventually Genghis Khan had one of his clones on Earth die, so they'd not get too nervous about him stop visiting them. The met with the Heavenly Kingdom of Space Zion--the previous civilisation to get to space that stuck it out here. They were later met with The Order of the Black Sun--the part of the Nazi Mystics that managed to get into space. They were usually amicable towards Heavenly Kingdom of Space Zion--but they REALLY did not get along with The Order of the Black Sun at all. Usually doing the equivalent of giving them wedges and swirlies. Though they bring it onto themselves. Eventually when the American Space Program and Soviet Space Programs started getting up and moving, they also met up with the Space Mongols.

Territories
Space Mongolia's Yurts have a haphazard set of orbits between Venus and Mars. These paths can be hard to properly map, as they are just as dependent on knowing the events inside the Yurts, as they are on knowing space physics. Usually more so. They tend to be grouped together--with various groups splitting, and joining with other groups. Often fairly regularly.
Military
Each Space Yurt is filled with people trained on how to fight, have sex and eat at the finest capacities. Communication issues have them often confusing the three of those... as Space Mongolia is a language with many different dialects based upon in-jokes that do not span too many Space Yurts from their source.
The Reptilian Slaves are naturally able to fight--and are given a decent amount of training. As valour is highly important, so having your slave force not able to fight for fear of an uprising is a major taboo. Usually most uprisings are stopped--as that would mean having to face against Space Mongolia--and most would generally prefer it does not exist.
Technological Level
Each Space Yurt is its own self sustaining ecosystem. Both on purpose and by accident... usually a unique mixture of the two for each Space Yurt. They are able to produce more than they need on each Space Yurt--and all goods are generally recycled to some degree in these systems. Usually with trading between Space Yurts happening to help "keep the flavours from getting too old"
They generally have most of their less extreme needs met--and are able to handle several months of debauchery before trading stuff up with other Space Yurts to keep stuff from going stale.
Foreign Relations
People try to avoid dealing with them if they can possibly do so.
Governments on Earth that are aware of life not on Earth do not so much keep their existence a secret on purpose--so much as they really do not want to talk about how one of the three major human space based civilisations are Space Mongolians. Changing the subject is usually inclined to happen when brought up.
Space Nazis generally have issues dealing with the Space Mongolia--and Space Mongolia generally will destroy Space Nazi ships on sign. Heavenly Zion has a certain amount of respect from Space Mongolia--with several peace treaties in place--and Space Mongolia importing a fair amount of Bagels and Bris from Heavenly Zion, despite not really needing to do this.
