Wanfaer Festival of Life

The winter solstice is the most important season in the Calendar of the Lonn Republic. It marks the end of the year and the beginning of a long winter, with th blessings of hope. The world of Mohn is a Techo-Agrarian society. The many species of beings are rational (for the most part) and work towards the common path of celebrating life and the renewal of the planet.   Aiwei Treesinger   The Lord Aiwei is seen as a god to some creatures and a divine helper by others, depending on their point of view. The Silkas historians never name him as a god, but they do call him the Emissary of the Creator. Who knows, however, he brought "The Path" to the people. A means to live as one with creation, always seeking The Balance.   The Festival   The festival is set up throughout all cities and villages in both the northern and southern continents of the republic. The main theme is to celebrate life in the depths of winter when all seems dead and withered. Life is all important and should be treasured. The festival takes many different tracts, depending on where it is being held, but there is one consistency. The Silkas Druidic Circle sets up a parade of everyone in town who wants to participate in a grand parade around the town. One of the druids, represents Aiwei Treesinger in costume. A tall elven looking faerie creature, as he is depicted in all the books, who knows if its correct and he picks his Salleh Silkas from the crowd and bestows upon her the Rose Sceptre to bless the animals (the crowd), so they find their self-awareness and see the world as intelligent sentient creatures. From there they march along the square and in the streets to whatever music or band suits them. In the end, they all get together at their Community Centers and have a huge feast.
