Faelishe Language in Mohn | World Anvil

Faelishe (Fay-lish)

Faelishe is an ancient language said to be only remembered in whispers and scraps of parchment.
"The song of Aiwei Stormbringer is captured in Faelishe. It is the song in the winds, the boom of the waves in the ocean, the crackling of the twigs walking alone in the forests, the delicate wings of the butterflies floating in the afternoon sun; it is the very breath of the Creator himself."

Origins

The Old Ones were said to come down from the twilight 'verse spreading the gifts of Aiwei Treesinger. The Old Ones were said to be legend and they had many names. In the North of the Lonn Republic, the old ones were commonly called the Fae or the Faer and are viewed more as a child's tale or a legend.   The old Ones are named The Beloved (S'allaq) by spider folk and insects, for they gave them awareness when those who came before thought them too simple. The Beloved showed them the path of the Treesinger and taught them how to dance and tap their feet to communicate with each other and praise his glory.   Faelishe is said to be a beautiful language, a hypnotizing song of balance and creation, lost to time.

The Silkas

The Silkas monks chant an ancient language in their monastery's said to be a remnant of the Faelishe. The song never ends, it sits in the air clouding those caught in its web in a mystery. Some say they can hear nature speak in soft, sometimes indecipherable notes. The pattern always changing. The rythmn, aimless.
