Yungian
Yungian are bipedal sentient, tribal race with mild magical essence but a far-traveling Vis. Average lifespan is 75 years. They age very quickly; their prime and beauty in comparison to other races and each other is brief. Their eyes are small and varied in shape; their ears are blunt and round. Their skin is smooth but often covered in patches of hair; scars easily. They have no tail.
General Appearance
Hair is black or dark brown; skin tone ranges from light tan to dark brown; can have any eye color for Humans. Eyes have strong epicanthal fold and palpebral slant.
Smaller-sized breed; men and women tend to be close in height with woman less muscular. Women have mild risk in childbirth. Men grow none or thin facial hair.
Culture and Heritage
Geographic origin: Northwest quadrant of the continent, Yung-An. This breed was kept isolated for millennia by the Blackbark Forest and Great Lake to the East and the oceans, Lonely Ones, and Wilder Forest to the West and South. Increased sailing and trading across the Great Lake is more recent, though Yun-An has suffered more raids from the Noiri to the East.
Magic
Magical heritage: Moderate heritage. Mages are known for mystics, life and death magic, shamanistic practices, and elemental sorcery. Elemental magics are balanced. Divine and arcane studies are culturally avoided so as not to draw direct attention of greater beings.
Psionic heritage: Moderate heritage, lower rate of insanity than Noiri because of mystical and shamanistic cultural teachings. Small psionic monasteries exist, but most individuals become local spiritual leaders or superstition-laden hermits.
