Tordek Eversharp
Paladin Tordek Eversharp (a.k.a. Luck Bug)
Tordek Eversharp is a Hill Dwarf. He's a Paladin having taken the Oath of the Crown and sees himself as quite the law abiding individual with a strong purpose in life. He's deeply ensconced in his religion and believes what they say to exclusion of all else, including what his very eyes tell him sometimes.
His traditions and faith in his religion drives Tordek's decisions. He sticks to those traditions passed down by generations of Paladins before him and is very reluctant to see that maybe some of them may not be the best for a situation. He, at least, can't be blamed for having a strong moral compass in this manner. The rules of his Oath and the Paladins himself doesn't stop him from acting in the interests of those he's most loyal to, which typically include his close friends, his group, and his Paladin Oath Order members.
Tordek hopes that he's able to rise to the top of his faith's religious hierarchy one day. He has strong faith in the omens he sees in every event and action and firmly believes that these omens are the god(esses) trying to speak to them and that if they just listen and act on them that they will be favored. He is also of the impression that following, and reacting to, these omens they will allow him to rise in power so he can do more with that power for everyone's benefit.
With his life centered around his religious upbringing he will do just about anything to protect the temple where he served for the longest time. This includes some things he otherwise might be opposed to, or even a bit of rule bending, just to keep them safe and secure in both their position and power, but also physically, mentally and emotionally.
He puts far too much trust into those who wield the power in his order though, following them loyally without thinking about what they're asking of him, or telling him to do. This sometimes gets him in trouble with his stronger moral companions, and makes him into a joke from others. He sticks up for his temple however with a stubbornness his people aren't often known for.
As an Acolyte he's earned the respect of those who share his faith. He's learned to perform the religious ceremonies and rituals and can do them upon request. This deep knowledge of his faith allows him, and his companions, to find shelter, healing, and care at any temple, shrine, or other location where his faith is present. He also can call upon the other Paladins, and those of his Oath-Order to assist him in varying things if he requires it and it isn't hazardous to them.
His Strength is his best quality. He's sturdily built in body and mind and has the muscle to back it up. He doesn't exactly like showing off his muscles but he knows some in his group find it fun to see who can do the most flexing when it comes to strength measuring contests and usually humors Stomm in this when the Goliath asks for it.
His Dexterity is his worst quality. He's not very athletic due to his stature and has a hard time adjusting to things getting inside his guard, or staying out of his shorter arm range. Dodging isn't something he's built for, neither is sprinting after escaping opposition, or keeping up with his companions. He'd prefer to hunker down behind his shield than flinch away from dragon fire or a projectile.
