You're never forgotten until the last person who knew you has also moved on.
Tays, The Guide Star, is an Etheral who comes to council and assist the group of locals who have decided to do something about Aedays's arrival on their planet.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Broad shouldered, big boned, and certainly not one to miss a meal. He is fit though, strong enough to carry his own gear, though he may be a little slower and less agile than those he is guiding through the vast world.

Special abilities

Weather by magic or by just being an old, wise, intelligent creature from the etheral, Tayls has a distinct knack of knowing what needs to be known and when it needs to be known. He's not always clear about what this information is, but instead seems to almost tell the future.

Apparel & Accessories

Tayls dresses simply in long, loose, layered robes that seem to change colors of their own accord every few days, often to suit his current mood and defaulting to white and gray when he's not paying attention. Besides the robes he wears a simple leather belt about his waist that contains a singular black pouch with a dark horn button that he never seems to open, use, or touch. He wields a long staff of unknown material, though it is white, has an iridescent sheen and perfectly straight and cylindrical except for where it splits and curls up and around a large multicolored sphere at the top. He carries with him a dark leather pack that seems to have no end to the items he can withdraw from it, and a peek inside reveals it is empty to the naked eye.

Personal history

The world knows where Tayls comes from, the stars overhead depicting him every night with his hand extended in the sky and the tip of his middle finger the one that remains almost perfectly stationary over head no matter the time of year.
When he showed up unexpectedly as a humanoid figure however there were questions, and none have yet found where Tayls came from, how he got to Tide Town, and Tayls certainly won't answer, or perhaps can't answer, any questions that are directed to him about his history, or his past.

Tayls goes by he/him, and presents as a typical masculine presence.

Employment

Tayls's seeming sole purpose for being there in Mito is to mitigate the threat posed by Aedays, Destroyer Of Life . He joins those who aim to do something about that threat, guiding them from location to location without blinking. His life as a guide is straight forward, to provide everything the group needs to get from point a to point b in relative safety and comfort, even if that is sometimes lacking. Though he is ethereal in nature, he also has his limits. 

Intellectual Characteristics

Tayls is very observant, taking time to sit back and study a situation before he acts on it. He's got a vast intelligence, a seemingly endless supply of wisdom, and he puts both to use when it's needed most. Sometimes his pondering of a situation or event leaves him in quite the hard spot as he will forget to eat, drink, or sleep for days at a time.

Motivation

Tayls was called to Mito Mondo for one purpose; To guide the brave adventurers either into saving the world, or enslaving it. His purpose is to be useful, no matter how that may turn out, regardless of if it is for the better, or the worse.

Likes & Dislikes

Any sort of game will always catch Tayls's attention. Mostly card or dice games, but he's usually up for anything from Ice Skipping to full plate Drake Jousting . He also loves sampling the local food and drink, moseying his way through the markets, and just generally taking in the atmosphere of a place at his leisure.

Tayls always has some sort of advice on hand for any situation, often leading towards a neutral or positive resolution to the situation at hand.

He quite enjoys all of the experiences life has to offer, often at his own peril or disadvantage.

He tends to take his time, on just about everything, and refuses to be rushed, which can be both a good, and a bad thing, and often earns him any number of comments from his companions.

Tayls is very well kept. He likes keeping himself clean and neat, though he never seems to need to change his clothes, shower, or even scrub at his teeth. How he remains so perfect and neat is a mystery to all.

Tayls is a very laid back, relaxed person to be around. He tends to be quiet but polite, letting others take the stage before himself. He's got a calm, centered demeanor that comes in handy during a tense or otherwise violently charged, moment or situation. His natural charm and kindness seem to cut through a lot of any tension, specifically that which is turned towards him as a person.

He seems to make meditating quite the hobby, and is often seen with a pair of small dogs, though where he keeps those dogs seems to be a mystery.

Oddly Enough, Tayls doesn't seem to have any wealth, and others don't seem to ask any payment of him.

Where Gods Be Found

Tayls is almost always found at The First Tide Inn, enjoying a good meal, a good drink, and good company if not a game of dice or cards. It seems that no matter the hour, be it morning, noon, night, or midnight, he is always in the same place doing much the same thing as he was the last time you sought him out. Sometimes feels a little like deja vu.
