Misty Skies

The monarchy is damned by the ones that fall under its rule. They could not take the taxes any more and wanted to finally get their point across by the only means they knew how. War. This caused the last of the royals to have to flee under the cover and a pseudonym to the pierre hoping to smuggle himself into a shipping trawler and or a cargo vessel so that he would not be found by the angry locals and killed.   With him he has the last of the loyal guards that swore to protect him till the crown is dead. Along with that there was The Ex Brigadier The Captain The Messenger.   Upon boarding the new found ship that was hoping to take them to the next major continent so that they could gain aid and perhaps take over the civilization once again but unfortunately they were attacked and kidnapped by a group of pirates.   The main captain was a strange looking fella with 3 tentacles that where dreaded together to form a makeshift beard, skin puffy and purple with his jacket with multiple shoulder pads to make them seem more imposing. The party would recognise this to be some form of mindflayer that has seen much better days. The conclusion came when his raspy voice would be heard and the look of one of his heavily scarred milky eyes sends shivers down the parties spine.
