The Magar

The Magar (sing. "Maga"), or the High Ones, are celestial beings who are servants of Jeger Almáttugur, the High King-Above-the-Heavens. They are not gods but members of the Aniolr who are selected to protect the mortal world and watch over the peoples of Mirydain.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

The Magar are all man-shaped, but are immortal and therefore beauteous and completely immune to age, illness, and general aspects of mortality.

Biological Cycle

The Magar are not affected by time, illness, or wounds as they are immortal. They cannot be killed nor lose their power, but their powers have limitations as omnipotence belongs only to the High King-Above-the-Heavens.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Magar possess great power which is unique to the individual. They are capable of commanding elemental forces, seeing over great distances and hearing the smallest sounds, and they can make themselves seen or unseen if they wish.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Magar were born before the beginning of time when Jeger Almáttugur began to form his good creation. They were present with all the Aniolr when Jeger wrought the World into being and celebrated the birth of Men when Adam and Eve were formed. All was well until the day when Ljosginn desired to rule Jeger's good creation for himself. The Magar fought him and banished Ljosginn and his followers from Paradisum, whereon he became known as Czernobog and since tried to upset Jeger's good plans.   The Magar have been tasked with protecting the World and the free peoples of the land of Mirydain, which they do out of their love and loyalty to their Creator, whom they honor and praise without ceasing.
