Garinth

Garinth the Dwarf is a primary character of the Tales of Mirydain literary series. In The Rise of the King, he befriends David McKay and Ginny Langford on their first meeting and later develops a bond with them. He fights beside them at the Battle of Kailion Vale and at their coronation, he was declared Chief Constable of Dinas Caradorn.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Garinth is a Dwarf and therefore is like a human in appearance, but is a little over three feet tall and stocky in build. He has black eyes that sparkle with warmth and a mane of brown hair spreading over his shoulders. Like all male Dwarves, Garinth has a long, thick beard, which he sets silver beads in.

Apparel & Accessories

Garinth usually wears leather jerkins, dark pants, and knee-high boots. In battle, he wears a mail shirt under his jerkin and a helmet.

Garinth's preferred weapon is a war hammer.

Garinth has a high moral code, despising evil and upholding good, and is open to standing with those who oppose tyranny. He has some faith in the prophecy foretelling the Dark King's defeat and believes that if anyone is capable of accomplishing anything, they can and should be able to do it.
