Ancient Symbols

Traveling Historian's Real Time Journal

I, the Traveling Historian, have come across some rather interesting symbols being cast upon walls of an ancient ruin. Old parchment scattered about, I must be careful or they will crumble. Using some of my spirit magic, I can contain some of the documents for further study. Strange, these symbols seem familiar somehow, but I am certain I have never seen them before... Anyway, I have to keep moving. This ruin is still coming down even as I am still in it. I'm trying to follow the symbols on the wall that might lead me to the source of the Memoir I need. Without it, my study will only take me so far.   The symbols look cursive and beautifully made. Each one captivating with powerful meaning in its shape and form. It's no doubt in my mind that these people took every word they said to heart. Oh wait, there is more, but these look different... and not cursive, but almost box-like. These look as if they were written on... stone? I can't be sure. Oh, I think they are music notes rather than writing. Interesting, so these people must have kept music close to their culture.   Ah, it looks like my traveling assistant has found the Memoir we need for further research... and the ruins' last legs have weakened, collapsing around us as we race for the exit.
