The creation deity, Notch, is programmed into existence by the physical-world human, Markus Persson. While Notch is sometimes controlled by Markus, he eventually becomes a sentient being, programmed to create.
The Creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson(Notch ), creates Minecraftia, the first ever Minecraft server that is private and can only be accessed by him.
Hostile monsters are added into Minecraftia, whose purpose is to be a threat to humans to incentivize them to adapt to this new danger. Early versions of Creepers and zombies are currently the only mobs that exist, soon to be followed by spiders and skeletons.
A majority of humans have chosen to live together in larger communities, learning of the concept of strength in numbers. They have begun to utilize the land's resources in order to maintain their ways of life.
Notch, fascinated in the fruits of his labor, decides to expand the world drastically. The world of Minecraftia is now a thousand times larger than it was originally. Due to the surprising success of his game among players, he uses the money to buy a computer strong enough to handle the far larger world.
The humans have grown past the need for single villages and created the Kingdom of Stone. They are now led by a King, who sees to the needs of his people.
Notch adds the Nether and an early version of the End dimension to his server. Despite the Nether having been part of Minecraft for a good while, his server previously had only had the Overworld. The End however is currently unreachable.
After having been sufficiently tested, the End dimension is now made accessible to humans within the server.
Many updates were made to the server that vastly built up the world.

The Karuta are forced out of the Stone Kingdom by Richard and the people upon the death of their leader, Zakris.
Notch, tired of the server breaking from how many humans are crafting unique items, removes first generation humans from the game. He reprograms the third generation of humans to be able to only build through a crafting table and their inventories what the game itself allows and adds them back in. As a special experiment, he enables a single human per generation to retain the original crafting format. The Lurken are the only race of the first generation of humans that survive this rebooting of the world, although they lose their ability to craft unique items.

For the short time this change went unnoticed, humanity was set back by decades and experienced a wide-scale apocalyptic event. Only Diamond Kingdom and the Griefer Syndicate managed to survive.
