Serith Ouroboros

Serith Ouroboros (she/her) is a transgender weresnake, literomancer, and Tome Knight allied with house Chiroptera. She was found half dead in the Metroparks near Cleveland, Ohio, with no memory of her past, at the apparent age of eight. Her foster mother, herself a Mercenary Tome Knight, taught Serith literomancy in the hope that she would be able to use it to uncover her past.
After years of practice and research, Serith caught the attention of House Chiroptera, who offered her a place in the ranks. She accepted, but her mother disowned her for this, feeling that the great houses were no better than tyrants controlling the practice of literomancy. She and Serith went their separate ways, and hardly ever speak to each other anymore.
The only clue Serith has to her origin is a recurring dream. In it, she is floating in space watching the stars burn out, one by one, until the only thing left is the dark cold of the vacuum. Then, a bright light begins to shine from somewhere, expanding until she is completely enveloped by it,, her eyes in pain from the blinding intensity and yet unable to look away. At this point, she always wakes up.
