The Organ King Character in Miand'Mésvéstell | World Anvil

The Organ King

Organ King

"No a musical organ, idiot!
— Said by a tired Mischa Rejskova.

The person who is commonly known as the Organ King is a member of the Anvilites' Guild and an infrequent visitor of the Inn due to constant complaints he receives from the others due to his presence always being followed by intense organ music.
He is, however, happy to be at the Great Guild Hall, where he may play on the huge organ piano at every dawn. He always barricades himself inside and will always make it in there, even if one stations guards outside.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

"[Sad Organ Noises]
— The Organ King, while leaving the Inn
after complaints of his presence.

From the Well

The Organ King came crawling out of the Well on a quiet night when most were asleep. Not many were asleep for long after his arrival. Nobody knows where he comes from and due to him only communicating in organ music, nobody has ever managed to get an answer they can understand. Beyond that, everything he writes is in musical notes.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

His Name

"Why is he called the Organ King? Because his music rules!
— Said by an Anvilite Member seconds before he
was thrown down the Well.

The name of the Organ King is unknown, so most call him by his supposed title. It was thought up sarcastically by Chimera the Elder Goblin and it has stayed ever since, mostly because it is easy to remember and the Organ King himself likes it.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

"[Happy Organ Noises]
— The Organ King, asked if he likes his name.

Abilities

He has displayed incredible strength, capable of bending steel bars with relative ease when he so wants to. He may wander through a brick wall without stopping. He is also nigh-invulnerable, but it is unclear if this is due to his heavy armor or a capability of his own. He has also showcased incredible speed and agility, capable of running faster than a galloping horse and traversing rooftops with ease.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

"[Angry Organ Noises]
— The Organ King, seeing a robbery happening.
(The thieves did not survive. Nothing but broken bones.)

Musical Aura

And in regards to his organ music, he appears to have an instinctual control over it. Nobody is quite sure where it is originating from; if it is his armor or his being. If one stays with him for a good amount of time, one will be able to recognize that his organ music changes tone slightly depending on his emotional state.
He is also able to direct his musical aura towards something in an offensive manner, such as turning stone to dust or shatter bones and liquefying organs.
He is capable of amplifying his musical aura with an organ instrument. The bigger the better.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Organ Enhancement?

"How... How does that even work? Is it the music? Is it he himself who does it at night?
— A befuddled guard who talks about the Organ in the Organ Chamber.
The Organ King appears to have an effect on organs. They become more pristine and appear to grow larger than the room they are in could allow. Their sounds also become more fine-tuned and reverberating.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Description

The Organ King is, in appearance, awfully similar to the Svadarid Knights that guards the The Great Archive. But he appears twisted. His armor is of a more bronze shaded color and he lacks their characteristic heavy sword.
The few times he has taken off his helmet, he has showcased a face belonging to that of a horrid monster. Pale blue skin and gleaming ice-cold eyes. An unnatural large mouth with sharp teeth. He only does it for intimidation purposes these days.
If this is the face of all Svadarid Knights or if it is unique to him, is not known.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Activities

General

The main activities of the Organ King is to keep everyone awake. And Irritated. On a constant basis. That is what most Anvilites' will tell you. He would, in his own musical way, tell you that he act as guardian for those he cares about. That he is like Evelyn Arcasai, a bouncer who throws out those who misbehave. And Leno Mídanstell, a patroller of the Basement of World Ends Inn.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Stealth Operations?

"[Suspensful Organ Noises]
— The Organ King, attempting to be as unnoticeable as a shadow.
Lately, he has also been trying out stealth operations. They do not go that well, and he has yet to figure out a way to make it all work. He has been starting to try out rupturing eardrums. If they are deaf then they should be incapable of hearing and thus not be able to notice him.
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Playing the Organ at Dawn

One of the most important jobs is to awake all those who sleep in the morning. Why would anyone want to be asleep when the light is present? And why do they keep posting guards outside the Organ Chamber?
— Members of the Anvilites' Guild.

Thank you for making this dumb joke canon, Leno.

It was a pleasure, Chimera. Thanks for coming up with it!

Very interesting and amusing. I did spot a few small things:

one station guards outside
That doesn't make sense. "one stations guards outside" or "guards are stationed outside"
(Sad Organ Noises)
As hilarious as this is, I would suggest switching the parethesis to something else. Maybe *, italics, or as the parenthesis doesn't give the "out of world" sense that needs to accompany such text.
And everything he writes is in musical notes.
Maybe give this it's own line. Or combine it. Right now your halfway between emphasis and regularity. Picking one may help the quote flow a bit better.   [quote]capable f bending[quote]   Missed the "o" in "of"   --   Alright. This is an amazing article with a great sense of humor to it. My favorite line was "He has been starting to try out rupturing eardrums. If they are deaf then they should be incapable of hearing and thus not be able to notice him." Overally, very funny and interesting to read.

This was a really fun read, Leno! Loved it haha. I like that the biological sex is "male?"

First off, I had to laugh at this because when I read "the organ king", with seeing the main picture, I thought he was a warrior that stole organs. Then I saw the "no a musical organ you idiot", I had to read and laugh "no a musical organ you idiot" ha ha, never judge a book by its cover, big mistake. I really like how his "warrior" looks is able to be combined with his musical prowess; NICELY DONE DUDE. I scroll through a lot of my notifications but this is one that I had to read. Thumbs up.   P.S. there's a place where you wrote "f" instead of "of" in the first block under the abilities section Example: ...capable f bending steel bars...

Thank you! I am happy it caught your attention and that you found it enjoyable. ^-^ That was the idea, yes. To give people a wrongful idea of what and how he was. (But not too wrongful). And I have now fixed that problem. ^-^

LOL! This is hilarious, Leno :D I particularly liked the "suspenseful organ music" while being stealthy. Reminds me of Kronk's theme song from Emperor's New Groove. :D   For reference and from experience: If someone is deaf or deafened, they will still be able to feel the vibrations of the organ music.

You are doing a great job! Keep creating; I believe in you!

Glad to hear you liked it ^-^ That idea was actually that from that scene xD It fits since the Organ king is basically Kronk.
Okey, well. He won't be able to sneak up on people if they awaken from having their eardrums ruptured anyway, so... xd

I was 100% certain this was some sort of horrifying undead king that harvests organs. I like the actual version way better.

Glad to hear it, and that was my intention. Glad to see it worked! ^-^
