Poem: Just one more step

A cry for warmth and comfort
A promise in the cold dark emptiness
A hope for the arrival of the dawn

One step forward, against the cool morning wind
One step forward, against all odds
One step forward, against the will of those foul

Just one more step
And a dawn anew will be here
