Miahana is very similar to Earth with certain things it has to offer. For example, time moves the same way with minutes and hours. But there are now ten months with 30 days and 3 weeks each. The food, flora, and fauna of Miahana are also very similar to Earth, but humans are not the only intelligent species, there are elves, goblin, gnomes, dragons, etc. Magic is alive on this planet and there are quite a few different creatures lurking about. Slang in common has the same English slang, but there are also a variety of new languages (that can be found in the D&D handbooks of course) that you don't see on Earth. It is modern time, not medieval, so the year 199,999 is equivalent to 2018. Keep this information in mind as we travel throughout this world in this post-apocalyptic campaign.
It is year 199,999, the 6th of Seono. The first outbreak in Humanatuni, Lissia was just two days ago and the world is in panic. It wasn't long after the first outbreak that more villages went black. Media has been covering the panic all over the world, but not much information has come out because of how fast it has spread. You, the players, live in the old capital of Odron, Corum. It won't be long till your city is also devastated. The new capital and home of the King's castle, Zudiamurga, has been deemed a safe haven and sanctuary. People all over Odron are being evacuated to the capital in hopes of safety. All people 18 and younger were evacuated earlier today and all the others will be evacuated in about 14 hours. At 7 am on the 7th of Seono, trucks and busses will come to evacuate any other Odron citizens and take them too Zudiamurga. The evacuation station is located at each local safe zone, as indicated in city emergency routes. The evacuation station in Corum is the Corum Historical Library. Zudiamurga is a 13.5 hour drive (800 miles at 60mph), its going to be a loooong drive.
