Brewer
Brewers are artisans who create potions, reagents, and volatile chemicals that have supernatural properties. Brewers straddle the gap between cerebral lore masters and practical crafters, and their communion with plant life often makes them comfortable outside of settlements. However, their biggest contribution is their ability to supply the party with a reliable source of consumables.

Career
Qualifications
Brewers often start with a rapport with a single powerful plant, perhaps cacao or coca or peyote. They communicate with its spirit, learn recipes that use its leaves or fruit or roots, and practice ceremonies that involve drinking or smoking or sacrificing to it. Although many receive their initial training from relatives or elders, they learn the most directly from the plant. They commune with its spirit and come to understand its nature. Over time some broaden their understanding of other ingredients, while others further specialize in their chosen ingredient.

Perception
Social Status
Brewers are generally accepted for their utility, but the social status of a brewer depends highly on which plants they focus on. Some plants are regarded as more reliable or benevolent than others, and brewers are often affected by the stereotypes of the plant they use.
