Butter
History & Usage
Discovery
It's a well known constant that buttered bread falling down will land with the buttered side down. Another well-known constant is that cats will always land on their feet. This is known as the Buttered Bread Principle. It took cat scientists a rather embarrassing long amount of time to connect these two constants and try to strap a piece of bread to the back of a cat, buttered side upwards. The experiment was a roaring success, giving the cats access to BB Levitation.
Everyday use
Butter is mainly a food, and a pretty delicious one, too. The humans use it for loads of types of food. They even heat it to fry other food in. Don't try to eat this hot butter - it will burn one of your most important sensory organs, your tongue. Just think about it - you won't be able to taste the glorious treat that is wet food ever again!
When not eaten, butter can be used as levitation fuel for cats if they have a piece of bread to strap on their back.
Hazards
Hot butter is extremely hot. Be wary of any butter that is liquid. It will burn you if you try to eat it.
Reusability & Recycling
Melted butter will be edible again if it's allowed to cool, and although not AS delicious as non-melted butter it's still pretty good.
Butter that is used to fuel levitation can easily be used as food after the levitation trip is done, although it might possibly be a bit dusty after the trip.
Distribution
Storage
The humans usually store butter in the cold cupboard they call a fridge. It's a bit tricky to open this cupboard, but don't lose heart! It's probably a trick to it if you try hard enough.
