Briari's Brooke
Briar's Brook is a place of rest found in the Dark Thicket. Travelers will often find themselves stumbling into this river times of distress. It gets it's name from an Briari, the Patron God of the Ushra, who lived here in his final days in the Material Plane. The Brook is rumored to heal any injury. A cup of water from the brook can keep you full for a meal. Finding the brook can prove near impossible though, as travelers who try to return will often find it impossible. Following the brook all the way to it's origin is a shrine to Briari, and it flows out out to Herfi Sea.
Alterations
A small shrine was placed at the beginning of the brook after Briari died. According to legend, the shrine is actually the final resting place of Briari.
Architecture
The brook is flush with fauna. Predators and prey comingle in peace, and no defined structures exist on the banks.
History
After Briari had settled down in the Dark Thicket, they lived alongside the banks of the brook for the rest of their life. When they ascended, the Ushra placed a shrine to them at the base of the brook. Ever since then, the brook was filled with the magic ability to heal those around it. As the Dark Thicket slowly became more infested with fae, the path to the brook became harder to find and it settled into obscurity to the outside world. Even the Ushra, who lived along its banks before the fae arrived, have had most of their knowledge about the brook warped by legend and obscurity.
Tourism
The desperate will try to search for the brook despite its hidden nature. They will try to find cures for anything from chronic illnesses to curses. Almost all of them get lost in the surrounding forest, on the way in or out. The rest live the rest of their lives alongside it.
