Tierri Bioscaine (a.k.a. Biosco)

A Deep Gnome from Karlikisma.
Tierri came to Albariya after finishing his journalism studies, in Karlikisma.
At Albariya, Tierri started working at the Akhbar a-Balad Magazine, writing of recent events in Albariya and his regulaar column at the Culture section of the magazine. Tierri's regular column "A Karliko's Look" which tells of recent news and development within the Dwarf and Deep Gnome community in Albariya, and the Rehaniye District. In the Dwarvish tongue(which Deep Gnomes speak a dialect of), people from Karlikisma are called "Karliko" for singular and "Karlikos" for plural.

As part of reviewing and reporting trends of the Karliko immigrant community in Albariya, he is frequently in contact with journalists and checks news outlets from Karlikisma. At times, not too often, Tierri will travel to Karlikisma to review of it from a first-hand witness point-of-view. He has returned recently from such a trip, and haven't published a column since.

After his trip to Karlikisma, Tierri has become less active and haven't written his column upon returning to Albariya, as he would usually do.

Quest

If looking at his written notes, and understanding Dwarvish scripture;

You can read that Tierri have not met his friends from home at the Karlikisma Underdark, which seems to trouble him. Written there are also notes of people whom Tierri have spoken to in the Underdark to try and gather information about his friends.

P.S. If the reading character only reads Dwarvish but can't speak Gnomish, the message is more vague and the adventurer can't get a coherent note, but understands generally. You may want to write the said notes and narrate them partially for the adventurer reading

If spoken to, Tierri will seem very closed and not very talkative. A conversation may reveal some worries about the situation of his friends.

Conversation topics to direct the adventurers to receive information about his friends' situation:

Asking of his origins, and about the Karlikisma Underdark.

Asking how was his trip to Karlikisma (e.g. What did he do, How was it generally, Where did he go, Any recommended places, etc.)

Taking interest in Deep Gnomes, their culture, origin and such general questions.

Hearing from people talking about Tierri not publishing his column for last issue of the Akhbar A-Balad magazine.

The adventurers can ask why did he not write anything for the latest issue of the magazine. He will explain his trip yielded more questions than answers about the situation at the Karlikisma Underdark, that he could not yet write his column. The players may ask what questions are needed an answer for, and so will receive the knowledge of Tierri's friends' disappearance. He will then ask the adventurers to help him learn what happened to his friends, and offer to pay the adventurers 30 gold coins each to find it out.
