The Grettin Ethnicity in Mernoac Sector | World Anvil

The Grettin

The Grettin are a variant of an ancient species that has changed over it's long isolation within the Mernoac Sector .    Distinctively compared to other groups of their species, they have begun to regain some of their species lost technology. The creation of Hypergates allows for simple and fast access to Hyperspace even through regions of space with the unusual difficulty of hyperspace navigation. As almost a third of the galaxy is within a region of hyperspace that is difficult to navigate this could open up significant trading corridors to these formerly unknown regions. These technologies are furnished at a significant price and their secrets jealously guarded by the Technic Caste.   Due to some ancient event they are unwilling to talk about, Grettin dislike artificial life forms. This has led to them engaging in significant bio-engineering of various species, their most popular and common of which is the Vinot. Some others are used for security purposes, construction and even military purposes.
