Endrizzi's Guide to Cardia

Preface Welcome illustrious travelers, to the magnificent city of Cardia. You have made an excellent choice by acquiring this trusty guide, for you are about to discover the secrets of this great city and experience the true wonders it has to offer that I have discovered while spending many of my years in these streets enjoying the pleasantries of life. If you dear reader are an honorable noble, trusty craftsman or curious savage wishing to become enlightened I can assure you this book will be most satisfactory. Whether you wish to see the sights, dabble in the local flavor or simply find a good drink and warm bed this guide has it all! So let me take you through these streets and impart upon you the wisdom I have gathered and you'll never wish to leave this city again!   The Hovel Ah, The Hovel. What a lovely pile of mud, poverty, and crime. But don't let its appearance fool you my friend for even this proverbial muckheap has its share of gems. Take for instance The Lucky Hand Tavern located off Lady Luck Square. This lovely little tavern manages to maintain a standard far above what one would expect. However, should you decided to visit this establishment watch your back for pickpockets and muggers run rampant on the streets! Avoid those wearing significant amounts of red or blue for these are clear signs that you're about to have an encounter with members of The Redbrands or Blue Skulls. These ruffians control the streets despite the efforts of the oh so noble Duke Heartfelt. If you are perhaps looking for something more authentic to the region you may wish to visit The Black Jack. Here you can expect plenty of insults and bar brawls while you enjoy your questionable broth cooked up by the resident orc chef Gorok. When the sun sets you may come across one of the numerous street boxing rings and if betting coin on blood sports tickles your fancy then head below ground to the Ragged Flop were gladiatorial bouts can be enjoyed to your heart's content. For those of a more holy persuasion, you may wish to visit The Hovel Chaple, one of the oldest churches in all of Cardia.
