The Durangal Slave Revolt
The Durangal Slave Revolt took place towards the later half of the Second Era in the Durangal Empire.
The Conflict
The Engagement
Both vastly outnumbered and out equipped, rebelling slave groups had to time themselves just right before going against their masters.
Outcome
As word spread of the victory in Noth-Azin, other slaves began to rebel all over the globe and collaborated with the Gaelmer that had not yet been killed off.
Aftermath
The revolt ended up forming an allience with various groups of escaped and revolted slaves with Gaelmer holdouts. As time passed this new allience would prove to be a worthy enemy of the Durangal Empire.
Historical Significance
The Durangal Empire thrived on slave labor and had over a million slaves in various cities across their empire, and an unknown total of slaves in City Cells. While small rebellions and revolts had taken place in the past, it was only after the fall of Noth-Azin that word spread among the dwarves and slave populations alike that groups started to form and become more organized. Stories would reach cities of the Slaves in Noth-Azin who still hadn't been defeated, despite the vast amount of men and tech they sent at them. To slaves they were heroes who inspired courage among them, to the dwarves they were seen as nothing more than a broken cog in the machine that was their empire and had to be fixed before causing more damage. As days, then weeks, then months passed and the city still hadn't been reclaimed by the Durangal, slaves started to rise up and rebel all over the globe. City Cells has waves of slaves trying to destroy their overseer crystals while Empire cities broke into rioting and destruction. The Empire cracked down on many of them, but a few managed to keep going and overtake their city.
