The world of Merhendiv is full of wonders. A total of four sentient species currently maintain a fragile peace. The balance between humans, elves, dwarves and kanns is shaken, however, after the discovery of the orcs. While this new species apparently has no concern for the likes of others, the four nations grow worried by their increasing power, and each has its own plan in dealing with the problem.   From the southern land of Valeknaar, the dwarves were the first to discover the kanns and their first city-state. A long time ago, the lack of resources has drawn them up North while at the same time settling their conflicts.   In the East, the elves one day arrived, seemingly from nowhere. They always refused to talk about what has driven them to come into Merhendiv, yet they share their knowledge of magic and see themselves as an example of perfect society.   When the Great Frost caused the ocean to turn into ice, the humans decided to explore unknown parts of the world. They managed to cross the natural bridge separating their own continent from Merhendiv. They now venture it far and wide to uncover all its mysteries.   The kanns are very peculiar creatures. They have a great technological advance yet know so little of their own history. Their short lifespan seem to make them insensitive to such concerns, however they were already settled when the dwarves first got out of Valeknaar.   Fractured, the orcs seem to be a ruthless people with an innate bond to hylif, but nobody knows where they come from. It looks like they appeared in the middle of the continent, so they were probably always there, despite no report of any similar creature in the last thousand years...could that divided people have evolved out of sight for so long?
