Senior Curator

of the Bravehearts

Work in progress

Senior Curator of the Bravehearts is understood as the leading member of the order. As a head figure of the organisation that gathers together talented scientists, mages and other exceptional individuals in case their specialities are needed, Senior Curator must be knowledgable, talented and committed to their role.

Qualifications

Role of Senior Curator often falls either to a member of Bravehearts or a governmental representative, who is particularly well versed on matters of the order. Such a person often has a long history with diplomacy and a variety of academic achievements under their belt, before they are even considered to the position.

Wast knowledge in a variety of subjects is considered important for the Senior Curator, so they can work effectively. Social skills and ability memorise thing effectively are signs of a good Senior Curator.

Requirements

Senior Curator must be a citizen of the Republic of Amaever. While not written, it is widely accepted that the title can only be held by a High Elf, often way past their third century. Senior Curator must be approved by both the Bravehearts order, as well as the Amaeverian House of Councillors.

Responsibilities

Most important function of the Senior Curator is to oversee the members of the organisation, approve the new members, represent the organisation and see that the requests of aid sent to the organisation are considered, examined and the right members are alerted to fulfil the requests.

This means rigorous studying, following world news and keeping books about every and all members of the order, with perfect catalogues of their achievements. Senior Curator sees that the time of the members isn't taken by petty request, and makes sure that those truly in need of aid will get it.

While Senior Curator doesn't handpick every request and personally assign members to every single task, they do appoint and supervise those who do, and are responsible that the things get done, and are expected to step in if there are any complications. For this reason, Senior Curators tend to have very hands-on and active with all requests that arrive at the headquarters.

Order of the Bravehearts

Bravehearts are a knightly order in Republic of Amaever, funded by the government. Instead of being filled by government officials and military personnel, members of Bravehearts have been chosen due to their talents to receive public recognition through a membership. While some members might have political roles, most of them would be considered civilians. They are also known to employ adventuring parties.

Members are often experts on a particular field or have unusual talents, were they intellectual or otherwise, though most members are scholarly by nature. In times of need, the members are contacted to share their talents, knowledge and experience to aid in matters that typical governmental member would be unable to. This can include anything from simple consultations to creating expeditions or defeating unusual threats.

I love the idea that they keep books on each of their members. That must be a really intense job, but really useful.

Really nice article layout and CSS work! I love the illuminated drop-caps. And the content is great too, of course. I agree with Serukis... keeping books on every member could be a daunting task. How many Bravehearts are there?

Hmm, could question. Considering the size of Amaever and other details I already have I think wd talk about ~ 200 active members, give or take, bug there might be more people on their list that ard only consulted rarely. And since we are talking about elves who might live anything between 200 to 700 years, it is technically possible that there are people who have become members centuries ago, making interesting difficulties with book keeping. :D Not the easiest job, definitelly. ^^
