Age of Scars

The 5th Era
From 1 AoS to Current day

Nobody exactly knows, what caused the world to break. In the end, what is now known as Age of Prosperity⁣⁣, was disrupted by the great disaster that still gives scholars a pause. What is know, is that a great surge of magic flowed through the bones of the earth, following magical leylines and breaking the earth's crust as it went. In some areas, it made the ground sink, creating places like the Scar Coast⁣⁣, and on others it lift up new mountain ranges and islands. This event would be known by several names, most prominently as The Cracking.

It was these changes, like wounds in the earth, with the Chaos that ensued that gave the Age of Scars its name. The first years were a blur and little has been written about it. The world did recover, however, but with weariness different to Era before it.

Age of Scars has seen the rise of elven Empire of Islenor⁣⁣ and been a starting point for great inventions. During it Dragonborn united and formed Aradace Tharur⁣⁣, and North Velkas has started their own great scientific revolution. The rising uncertainty has made scholars consider if it is time for a change of eras, but this remains uncertain.
