Twilight In Alcus A deserted launch bay in sight I stood there For more than an eternity Watching transporters pass In warp bubbles around the station Waiting for one that was Already long gone Among the silence of Engines firing in space The empty and hollow feeling Creeps up my body Knowing I will not make it back In time

Written by Edward Lillier in 2026, the poem was scribbled onto a public terminal in Alcus transport hub when he missed the last transporter back to Colony Grandum, where his mother was in poor health. Lillier was a fugitive from Pristine Union, as he "deserted" from his post of Commander.   Alcus: The northernmost city of Eliminus in the region of Reflex. In the second line, it does not only show the location of where the poem was written, but also portrays the despair of Lillier, being so close to to the border zone, yet so far away from Colony Grandum.   Transporter(s): A vehicle and a form of long distance public transit. Often used by people who could not afford their own long distance ships, and in this case, used by Lillier as a form of low-profile transportation.   Warp bubble(s):
