Saint Gaed, The Confessor

The Confessor

St. Gaed the Confessor is the god of law, civilisation and truth. Their followers are encouraged to uphold the law and uphold righteous authority. Priests of St. Gaed are often entrusted with arbitrating disputes and determining guilt in suspects, as they are extensively trained to be impartial. St. Gaed considers treason and oathbreaking the worst crimes imaginable, and many of their clergy feel the call to search for and expose traitors of all forms. Others dedicate themselves to the pursuit of truth, shifting the kernels of fact from the mists of mythology.   St. Gaed is an unusual god in that they are often depicted as having two bodies, a male and a female. Other times they only have one androgynous body, but with two heads. The dual bodies are believed to represent equality under the law, as well as the need to hear both sides of a dispute before making a judgement.
