Jindh the Creator Character in Mbali | World Anvil

Jindh the Creator (Jin)

Jindh the Creator

The Qatar Archives is an impressive feat. It’s been a long time coming since the king commissioned me for this project, but I am no less excited about the assignment. Only one week after the opening ceremony, and Jami have already started returning to Qatar with loads of stories from distant lands. Barika and I have our work cut out for us. There’s already much to do.

Many of the first Jami were sent to kingdoms on the opposite side of the continent. But Lugobi made an exception for Reshan, which lies north of Qatar. I see the king’s reasoning. Reshan boasts being the oldest kingdom. If this is true, then the tales from Reshan must be great and rich with knowledge that all would benefit from. Since Reshan is so close, the first Jami to return were from there. As I scoured through the new records, it dawned on me, that I need to write about some of the common or global subjects that represent almost all of Mbali. The first such subject is no doubt, Jindh.

Jindh is our deity. Jindh is by no means the only deity that is followed throughout Mbali, but he certainly has the most followers. Jindh is ever-present in our lives. There are temples of Jindh in every major city on the continent. Jindh created all of Mbali. The story of the creation and Jindh’s precepts for living are all kept in the Book of Jindh. I would direct anyone who needs more knowledge of Jindh to look there for more answers. Sufice to say here, that following Jindh has provided order and a long standing peace among most of the kingdoms. The Hand of Jindh, is the term that represents Jindh’s love and guidance…Jindh reaches down from the heavens to guide and provide for Jindh creation. It is by Jindh’s hand that the archives has been created.

Followers can worship and speak with priests of Jindh in temples built for Jindh across the continent. There are different sects of Jindh priests, and I am recording all the sects I know and more that have been reported in a separate journal entry.
