Piovale

Geography

Piovale is roughly 8,290 miles from easternmost point to westernmost point, and 12,150 miles from southernmost point to northernmost point.This makes it the single largest landmass in the entirety of Mazhim-Okhul. Pioval boasts four mountain ranges- including one known as the Great Bifurcator which at a whopping 9,993 miles from northernmost point to southernmost point and with over 111 mountains is the largest mountain range in Mazhim-Okhul- as well as one inhospitable desert in the southwest known as the Churning Desert, eight prominent lakes, and seven prominent temperate forests.
It has four distinct regions known as the Gods' Hook to the far southeast, the Verdant Strip between the Amaranthian Mountains and the Great Bifurcator, the relatively small Amaranthian subcontinent, and the Outstretched Hand. The people and countries that inhabit these subregions have wildly different cultures due to differences in the types of magic or technology they primarily use and the different resources available in each; however, they do retain generally the same language and dialect due to certain interference on the part of benefactors.
There are two prominent inlet seas: the Marghentian Sea separating Amaranth and Gods' Hook, and the Churning Sea separating the hospitable parts of the Outstretched Hand from the inhospitable parts of the Outstretched Hand. They also have smaller bays and gulfs, most prominently the Gulf of the Thumb which divides the Outstretched Hand between most of the subcontinent proper and the Peninsula of the Thumb.
