Eyris

Geography

Eyris is roughly 4,380 miles longitudinally at its widest point, and the continent is roughly 11,000 miles long laterally. The continent boasts three mountain chains- two on opposite corners of the continent and one mountain range jutting upward from the land roughly halfway up the continent- as well as one desert, five prominent lakes, and six prominent temperate rainforests.   The mountain ranges are known as the Icy Mar in the far northwest, the Watcher's Daggers in the center, and Blind Man's Mar in the far southeast of the continent.   The desert, one of only two in the entire world, is also the largest in terms of area and length, and is known as the Cat's Eye Desert for the narrow slit it leaves separating the lower countries of Eyris that are within dangerously close proximity to the Blind Lands of Rezhin from the northern countries, their more frigid climates, and the Strait of Joined Hands.
