Lekae is marinated meat cooked on skewers over coals. The meat will have been marinated using different types of peppers and herbs found in the Markovia region. Often the meat is marinated overnight at the least.
It's a common method of preparing meat in taverns and inns. The dish is served with a bitter drink, such as a stout or a tea along with a hard cheese and dark wheat bread and carrots.
