Word of the Storm

An ancient religion that had bases in many places in the Sky Island Sea, the Word of the Storm group worshipped Storms. Nowadays nothing of the religion remains, and even the Gray Sails know little about them, due to it being impossible to separate truth and myth.
It is said that the priests believed the storms were leading people and could tell them stories, if only one knew how to listen. They would hold ceremonies on stormy days, and seek out places where storms would occur more frequently. Some even studied The Red Storm with great zeal.
Unfortunately, the precise religious ceremonies are no longer certain, due to various stories making it hard to ascertain the true nature of what the priests did. Some stories claim they would tie themselves to masts as the winds would batter them, and that an apprentice would need to survive a storm to be allowed to become a priest. Others say they would literally fly with the wind, becoming one with the storm before returning to their temples.
It's not clear how those following the Word of the Storm safely made it through storms. Supposedly they talked about bending with the wind, which suggests they did not include Wind Weaver in their numbers. On the other hand, many believe they may have included Thread Walkers in their ranks, and that their lost documents and temples include ancient instructions on how best to talk to the winds. While their existence is obscure, any discovery of a Word of the Storm temple or artefact tends to attract a significant number of Skyfarers.
